MONICA ROS SUMMER CAMP 2024 SCHEDULE:

First Week: June 24 - June 28
Classic Summer Camp: Playful Pets (Ages 3-10) — We all love our animal companions, and this first week of camp is all about familiar, fun-loving critters! We will have visits from various pets, a local veterinarian, and an amazing agility demonstration from two FAMOUS award-winning agility dogs! We will make human biscuits and dog biscuits as treats, and numerous pet-inspired art projects — like a collar or a pillow for your pet along with paw print printmaking . We will paint “pet” rocks, and read stories about different pets each day.

Building Skills & Confidence Camp: Life Skills (Age 10-12) — Campers will learn how to cook, do laundry, sew, build with tools – and they’ll even learn job interview techniques! Gain independence, confidence, and essential life skills for the future in this fun-filled, practical camp week.

Second Week: July 1 - 3, July 5 (CLOSED 4th of July)
Classic Summer Camp: Dinosaurs & Beyond (Ages 3-10) — Roar into summer with our thrilling camp session centered on the prehistoric world of dinosaurs! Embark on a Jurassic journey as you unearth fossils, dig for bones, and learn about these magnificent creatures that once ruled the Earth. Get ready for a dino-mite adventure filled with paleontology explorations, interactive games, and imaginative fun!

Building Skills & Confidence Camp: Survival Skills (Ages 10-12) — Campers will learn important and vital first aid practices, including how to administer the life-saving care of CPR from a certified instructor. PLEASE NOTE: An additional $60 fee is required this week for first aid and CPR certification, and the subject matter will include real depictions and descriptions of first-aid scenes and situations.

Third Week: July 8 - July 12
Classic Summer Camp: Under the Sea (Ages 3-10) — Dive into a world of aquatic wonders at our summer camp session themed around the majestic oceans! Embark on exciting adventures as you explore marine life, learn about ocean conservation, and engage in hands-on activities like “beach” cleanups and tidal pool adventures. Let the waves of knowledge and fun wash over you as you discover the beauty and importance of our planet's vast oceans.

Building Skills & Confidence Camp: Community Skills (Ages 10-12) — Campers will explore strategies and practices to build a stronger community. Culminating in a group fundraising project, campers will unite their efforts towards a meaningful Monica Ros cause, the Cora Mae Scholarship Fund, fostering teamwork and civic engagement.

Fourth Week: July 15 - July 19
Classic Summer Camp: Forests & the Great Outdoors (Ages 3-10) — During our forest-themed week campers will discover the wonders of nature through guided “hikes,” wildlife exploration, and imaginative forest storytelling sessions. Engage in hands-on activities like leaf printing and animal track identification, fostering a deep connection to the enchanting world of the nature.

Fifth Week: July 22 - July 26
Classic Summer Camp: Free-form Art (Ages 3-10) — Unleash your creativity in a summer camp session dedicated to free-form art! Dive into a world of unlimited expression as you experiment with various mediums, techniques, and styles. From collaborative murals to solo masterpieces, let your imagination run wild and create without boundaries in an inspiring and supportive environment.

Sixth Week: July 29 - August 2
Classic Summer Camp: Science & Concoctions (Ages 3-10) — From bubbling potions to fizzy reactions, young scientists will explore the thrilling world of chemistry through hands-on experiments and exciting demonstrations. Get ready for a week of explosive fun, where creativity and scientific inquiry collide to create unforgettable concoctions and inspire a lifelong love for STEM.

Seventh Week: August 5 - August 9
Classic Summer Camp: A Pirate’s Life for Me (Ages 3-10) — Ahoy, mateys! Embark on a swashbuckling adventure at our kids' summer camp session themed "A Pirate's Life for Me"! Young buccaneers will sail the seven seas, search for buried treasure, , make their own treasure chests, learn pirate lingo, and all while uncovering the tales of legendary pirates.
