Monica Ros FIESTA – each Fall the magic returns

Originally known as the Mexican Fair, Monica Ros Fiesta began in the 1950’s. Fiesta is both a FUNraiser and fundraiser, put on by Monica Ros School parents and teachers for the entire Ojai community. Set in early fall, Fiesta combines all the elements of a county fair for children, right on campus. Every year, children enjoy traditional activities such as decorating sombreros and horseback rides through the orchard as well as modern entertainments like jump houses and climbing walls. There are baked goods and an authentic Mexican feast to enjoy under the canopy of campus mulberry trees. At Fiesta the children get a taste of independence as they enjoy exciting, age-appropriate activities and explore to their hearts’ content alongside their friends and family in our safe community. The true testament to the long-lasting and happy memories created at Fiesta is the number of alumni that return to participate in recreating the magic of the event. Alumni asked to recall their memories of Fiesta are likely to burst out with childlike excitement: “It’s the best day of the year!”

Fiesta sponsors are displayed on a banner at the event, thanked on stage, and thanked on Facebook and in the Ojai Valley News. Donations are tax-deductible. Won’t you consider being the DUNK TANK sponsor? Or the GLITTER TATTOO sponsor? Or the ever-popular, and delicious, TACO GUY sponsor? Please contact Sarah Arlon for details, or 805-646-8184.
