The search for the new Director of Monica Ros School has begun! Please read our committee’s letter below.

Dear Monica Ros Community,

The process of identifying Monica Ros’s next Director has begun in earnest, and we are excited to update you with the latest news that we have to share.  First, we are pleased to announce the Search Committee has been assembled.  Please join us in thanking the following committee members for their devotion to Monica Ros and for their time and effort on behalf of the School:

The committee has undertaken the work of creating a School Prospectus, which we present to you HERE. The Prospectus will be the primary tool for sharing the news of the position.  The committee will come together in the fall for an intensive period of work.  We will review the applications and choose a group of candidates to interview in a semi-final round.  Next, we will select a small group of finalists who will spend time on campus.  After following up with references and gathering community feedback, the committee will recommend the successful candidate to the board.  The board of trustees will appoint the next Director in accordance with the school’s bylaws.

We see the successful appointment of a candidate not as an end, but rather as a beginning, as we undertake the critical work of a smooth transition as we say goodbye to our beloved Director, Susan Hardenbergh.  As we move forward, we pledge to keep you informed of our progress.  In the meantime, if you would like to share any potential candidates with the committee, you may directly contact Kara Hooper (khooper@thacher.org) or monicarossearch@gmail.com.
