Summer Camp

Open to all families in Ojai, Summer Camp is a great time for new students to become acquainted with the school and have some summertime fun while forming new friendships. Offered during the month of July, each week of camp explores a different theme such as gardening, cooking, camping, and more. Brochures become available in April.

First Week: June 30 - July 3 (Mon-Thurs only)
Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue!!!
Monica Ros School has entered Ojai’s 4th of July Parade! Mr. Jacobsen, aka “Mr. Hardenbergh,” will drop off The Thacher School’s horse drawn carriage for the campers to decorate. The campers will also decorate bikes and make costumes. On Friday, campers and their families will meet at the beginning of the parade route. Mr. Jacobsen will bring the horses and wagons and away we’ll go. The wagon will be able to carry some paraders, while others can bike.
Friday, the 4th of July is not a camp day.  Parents can bring their child to the parade and participate in the festivities with them.

Second Week: July 7-11
Let’s get beached at Monica Ros Summer Camp!!

In order to fully enjoy the warm July weather, a real beach atmosphere will be happening at Monica Ros School. We’ll be sculpting sandcastles, playing beach volleyball, and splashing to the music of the Beach Boys. We will enjoy creative arts ad crafts and create our own Monica Ros beach towel. Surfs up! Hope to see you there.
Two schedules are offered: 3 day camp is held MWF 9:00-2:00, and 5 day camp is held M-F from 9:00-2:00.

Third Week: July 14-18
Take me out to the Ball game!!

Learn about baseball: the game, the greats, the cards, the snacks. We’ll be playing baseball, illustrating our own trading cards, making cracker jacks, and cooking up a hot dog BBQ. Decorate a t-shirt with your favorite team, number and or name.
Two schedules are offered: 3 day camp is held MWF 9:00-2:00, and 5 day camp is held M-F from 9:00-2:00.

Fourth Week: July 21-25

Spanish Immersion- Gradeschool only

Immerse yourself in an engaging, fun-filled week of cultural art projects, games, song and food. Our activities will enclude: crafts, sculpture, painting, games, and movement, songs in Spanish and a bilingual puppet theater.
Spanish gradeschool camp is offered 5 days - M-F 9:00-2:00.

Preschool and Kindergarten - Camp will also be available. Theme will be announced later.
Two schedules are offered: 3 day camp is held MWF 9:00-2:00, and 5 day camp is held M-F from 9:00-2:00.

**Summer camp is open for children ages 3-9. Snack will be provided daily. Lunch will be brought from home. Children will have a swim time each day. We have inflatable pools. Contact the office for an enrollment form.
