Auction – Can You Help?
Hi Parents!
Did you know that no family pays the full cost of a Monica Ros education? Every child’s yearly tuition is subsidized through fundraising by about $850. Many parent volunteers participate to help fill this gap between the tuition and actual cost. Right now, this week, in fact, we are asking for your help. Many hands make light work and your many hands are very much needed.
Recently the school sent out letters to area merchants requesting their help in the form of donations to our largest fundraiser, the Auction. Would you please help by following up with at least two merchants: stop by and ask if the merchant can give a donation and, if they can, deliver it to the school. If you are someone who regularly does business with the donor, it will make their donation much easier.
If you do have a relationship with a business, or business owner, please help our school by signing up at the kiosk. The kiosk is full of merchants and it’s organized by category (like “Health & Beauty”, Fun & Entertainment, Hotels, Restaurants & Coffee). Locate a merchant you’d like to be responsible for, and put your name in the column “Monica Ros Volunteer” for that merchant.
If you see a name already in the Volunteer column, then that merchant has already been approached, so please pick another merchant. We don’t want to contact a merchant more than once. Imagine how frustrating a situation it would be if several volunteers from the same organization repeatedly approached you – yikes!
Merchants were sent a donation agreement, in which the details of their donation can be recorded. And, there are extra donation agreement forms at the kiosk if you need them. Please make sure one is completed if an item is donated, and delivered back to the school.
The school greatly appreciates having these items in the office by February 12th. If you have any questions, please stop by the office. See you at the kiosk!
Thank you!
Sincerely, Susan Hardenbergh and Elizabeth Moore
